COVID-19 Policy

Sessions During the COVID-19 Pandemic

I am doing my best to reduce the risk of coronavirus spread in my practice, for your safety and mine. I will be wearing a mask and face shield, changing linens and my clothing and sterilizing surfaces between clients. In good weather I will open my window for fresh air. Also, I have an air purifier with a medical grade HEPA filter. On surfaces I will be using a product called “Force of Nature”, which is EPA approved to kill the coronavirus and other germs but is non toxic. I will supplement my cleaning with other cleaning products containing bleach but will attempt to limit the use of toxic cleaners. I will wipe other surfaces in the building from the front door to my treatment room like door handles and bathroom fixtures before a client’s arrival. As odd as this may be, health is the priority and my hope is that it won’t feel so strange in time. I look forward to seeing you!

Here is a list of what I need from you:

  • All clients must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.
  • Bring your own water bottle.
  • Instead of handshakes and hugs—air hugs or some other safe greeting. Saying ‘Hi’ is always good.
  • When I am seated at the head of the table near your neck and head please do not chat. This is when aerosol from both of us is closest and the risk is highest. Please still tell me if anything is uncomfortable and I will still ask your preference but will refrain from other conversation. Often, people just relax at this point anyway. Snoring is still allowed. 😉
  • Do not wait for your appointment in the waiting area. I will text you when I am ready for you. You can wait in your car. Also, there is a lovely trail near the office. The entrance is on Baker Ave. not far from the driveway going toward Rt.62.
  • Please sign the COVID-19 Liability Waiver

Know that if I have any possibly suspicious symptoms I will cancel all sessions. I will take my temperature every work day.

Here is a list of what should to prompt you to cancel.

There are no consequences for canceling if you have any of the following symptoms.

  • Fever over 100.4 (I will have a no-touch thermometer at the office)
  • Chills
  • Unexplained muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • You, an immediate family member or someone you have been close to has been diagnosed with or has symptoms of COVID-19
  • New difficulty exercising and raising your respiratory and heart rate
  • New, unexplained rashes, spots, marks or other lesions on your skin
